Thank you

Thank you so much to all the great musicians and to everyone who helped! Without you this concert would not have been possible.
It was a great pleasure for us and we hope that you enjoyed the concert just as much as we did.

Soon you will be able to find pictures and how much we raised ations on our website.

We want to thank you for so many donations, for your kind words and for your sympathy.

Hopefully we will see you again soon when there is another ‘concert from the heart’.

TV report on WDR

Finally the report produced by the WDR about the charity concert has been broadcast on the tv programme ‘Lokalzeit Aachen’. It was definitely worth the wait! Thanks very much to Antje Schmidt for such a wonderful report, and to Janina Fels for her intermediation:

Concert announcement by Broadcasting Centre Europe

Today, the radio station ‘Funkhaus Europa’ interviewed Renzo about the charity concert. Excerpts from the telephone interview were also broadcast on the Italian radio transmission ‘Radio Colonia’. Here you will find the live recording:

Pictures from L’Aquila

Our friends from L’Aquila have sent us some pictures: Marco is one of the many brave firemen who are putting in an extraordinary effort to rebuild the city. Federico tried to get into his flat again, part of which had collapsed. Alessandro, who will play for us, visited his family in one of the tents provided by the Protezione Civile.

This is the city, these are the people we want to help.

This year’s winner of the ‘Karlspreis’ Professor Dr. Andrea Riccardi really likes the idea of the charity concert. Renzo, along with Daniela from the College Radio Aachen, was able to talk to him:

What’s that up there?

2009-05-20_003_3378The top of the RWTH main building now prominently displays a 6 x 1.2 m banner and proudly proclaims our charity concert. Kindly supported by Prints Paul.

We do have an extra one! However, we haven’t found the right spot for it yet. Who has an idea, and permission, and would like to display the banner until monday?

Interview on the radio

Today Daniela Ewers interviewed us on College Radio Aachen. Here you can listen to the full interview as well as the beautiful piece “Blu Cobalto”, composed by Renzo himself:

Soon to be on College Radio Aachen

Within the next hour we will be interviewed on “Hochschulradio Aachen“, the Aachen college radio station. Renzo will introduce himself and one of the pieces that he will perform at the concert. Listen on 99,1 MHZ!

“Many people facing the end” - report by the Super Sonntag

Today the newspaper ‘Super Sonntag’ also issued a nice article about ‘Abruzzo nel cuore’. We hope that this encouraged even more people to come to the concert! Please watch the little mistake: Tickets are available at the RWTH information centre in the main building of the university and at Klenkes’ Ticket Shop in downtown Aachen.
